The Oracle
You may have learned that real knowledge is rational, provable and explainable in words, that intuition is guesswork dressed up, and that your own judgement needs checking against everyone else's before it can be relied on. You've probably known something before you could explain it, acted on it, been right, and then gone straight back to asking everyone else the next time. The knowing has to be trusted again each time it arrives, one decision at a time. It's the oldest intelligence humans have, and the version of you that knew things clearly, before the second guessing started, never actually left.
Traditionally echoed in Fionn mac Cumhaill, who gained all the world's knowledge by accident when he burned his thumb on the Salmon of Knowledge and put it to his mouth, and in Rhiannon of the Welsh Mabinogi, who refused the man she had been promised to and chose her own husband, trusting her own judgement over everyone else's, and in the Pythia, the Oracle of Delphi, whose pronouncements were trusted long before anyone could rationally justify them.
