The rule

You may have learned that keeping the peace matters more than naming what's actually happening, whether that peace belongs to a family, a friendship, a relationship, a community or a workplace, and that the person who speaks up is the problem rather than whatever they spoke up about.

Traditionally echoed in Antigone, who defied a king's direct order to bury her brother with honour, paying with her life for refusing to let power overrule what she knew to be right.
