The rule
You may have learned that rest has to be earned with exhaustion first, that value comes from output, and that doing nothing is laziness.
Traditionally echoed in wu wei, the Taoist principle of non-action set out in the Tao Te Ching, in which nothing is forced and yet, as Laozi put it, nothing is left undone.
